They are generally used as heat sinks: in fact, they ensure that the measuring instrument is not damaged by potentially harmful temperatures.

TAPS and VALVES

Taps and valves are instruments designed to connect a measuring device, such as a pressure gauge or sensor, to the intended process: they can shut off the flow of fluid from the network, thereby preventing the possibility of leakage in the entire system. In fact, thanks to the taps it is possible to bypass a particular section of the network from the entire circuit.

They can be made:

– TWO-WAY > connection to the process/instrument

– THREE-WAY > in this case they are equipped with an inspection flange > Process/tool/control connection.

The function of the inspection flange is to make it possible for an authority or operator to check the pressure without having to shut down the entire system.
