Laser Cutting

A clean, millimeter cut for metal license plates and panels

One of the most widely used cutting methods for metal license plates and panels is definitely laser cutting.

Born to be purely used in the field of carpentry, this technology, has developed to the point of being able to process even very hard materials, guaranteeing millimeter precision.

This allows the processing of metal plates and panels in preferred shapes and sizes.

Laser cutting

Laser cutting consists of a thermal process by which the laser beam melts the material to be cut, while assist gas removes excess material.

Its precision and clean-cut edge make laser cutting one of the most widely used methods.

Laser cutting technology

In laser cutting, the radiation beam is focused through a lens onto the surface of the metal, which heats up and rapidly reaches fusion.

The processing follows, moving the laser beam along a desired cutting path.

Today, the latest generation of machines have or are entirely replacing the old CO2 laser cutting technology with FIBER laser cutting.

In FIBER laser, the beam is produced by means of a so-called LASER SEED and is amplified by specially mounted glass fibers to which energy is fed by pumping diodes.

The main advantages of fiber laser cutting and CO2 laser cutting include higher efficiency, the ability to cut nonconductive metals such as copper and brass, higher speed, and lower maintenance.

Basically, this technology is applicable to all metal materials, which is why it is widely used in the industrial field. Carbon steels up to a thickness of 25 mm can be cut, while for stainless steels the maximum thickness is 15 mm.

In conclusion

In conclusion, the inclusion of the laser cutting system in a production, makes cost reduction, flexibility, fast delivery, and product quality become the winning weapon in an increasingly demanding market.
